In an initiative that sought to uplift the underprivileged, DroneAcharya recently completed DGCA-certified drone pilot training for 13 candidates hailing from the humble backgrounds of rural Maharashtra and Delhi. The successful partnership with Tata STRIVE has opened doors to a brighter future for these individuals.
Empowering the Unprivileged: A Noble Endeavor
In a bid to bridge the gap and provide opportunities for those residing in rural regions of India, DroneAcharya embarked on a mission to empower underprivileged candidates. Recognizing the potential of drone technology as a means of transforming lives, this initiative aimed to equip individuals with the skills and certification necessary to excel as DGCA-certified drone pilots.
The 13 candidates, each coming from challenging backgrounds, displayed remarkable enthusiasm and determination to break free from the constraints of their circumstances.

The successful completion of DGCA-certified drone pilot training by all 13 candidates is a remarkable testament to their hard work and dedication, as well as the effectiveness of the training curriculum. The program covered an extensive range of topics, including drone operations, safety protocols, regulations, practical applications of drones in various industries and extensive sessions of onground drone flying.
The achievement of a 100% success rate not only highlights the commitment of the candidates but also showcases the dedication and expertise of DroneAcharya’s trainers and the support from Tata STRIVE.

However, the program didn’t stop at technical skills. Tata STRIVE contributed to the holistic development of the candidates, conducting sessions on soft skills and corporate etiquette. “This well-rounded approach ensures that the candidates are not only skilled drone pilots but also equipped with the interpersonal and professional skills needed to excel in their careers”, adds Pradeep Lingwat, Regional Head West and South at Tata STRIVE.
The primary objective of this collaboration was to create a pool of skilled individuals who could transform their lives by accessing meaningful careers with higher standards of living and income. Drone technology offers diverse opportunities in sectors like agriculture, infrastructure, surveillance, and more, and the newly certified drone.
