Sri Lanka banks on geospatial technology for development


Sri Lanka is entering a new era of development. In that race the island nation recently hosted the 37th Asian conference on Remote Sensing. Sri Lanka understands that the availability of spatial information is a vital source in decision making and development planning. The government is mulling a policy for setting up a spatial data infrastructure and the process is already on. 37th ACRS become a platform to the country to develop better collaboration among professionals locally and internationally.
