In December, SpaceX made history by successfully landing an unmanned rocket upright. This Sunday, SpaceX is hoping to repeat history. After its Falcon 9 rocket carries NOAA’s oceanography satellite Jason-3 into space, SpaceX will try to land Falcon 9 on a barge floating in the open ocean. These attempts are part of SpaceX’s efforts to develop rapidly reusable rockets. Reusing rockets could reduce the cost of access to space by a factor of 100. Meanwhile, get your popcorn ready for Sunday!
