VO 1: National symposium on Geomatics for Digital India begins in Jaipur. The three day mega event is being jointly hosted by JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur and Indian Society of Geomatics, Jaipur chapter. The Programme is centred on three key areas i.e. Digital Infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, Governance & Services on demand, and Digital Empowerment of citizens. Delivering the presidential address, PG Diwakar, Vice President, Indian Society for Remote sensing said and
I quote “I would like to see how we can take Digital India further. We want the technology to reach the masses in a big way.”
VO 2: Some of the major themes of the Symposium are Making Digital India: Issues and Challenges, G – Governance for Village Level Planning, Web and Location based Services, Geomatics in e – Commerce etc. The symposium shall focus on various themes related to applications of geomatics in various key areas defined under the Digital India Programme.
