• ISRO‘s commercial arm Antrix to launch Singapore‘s satellite TeLOS-1
• TeLOS-1 to be used for commercial and remote sensing operations
• Antrix to also launch German satellite EnMap in 2016
ISRO is gearing up for the mega launch of TELOS-1 satellite of Singapore Technologies Electronics Ltd. The launch would be in December 2015 and the satellite weight is 500 kgs. ISRO’s commercial arm Antrix has signed an agreement to launch six satellites for Singapore on its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle. The TeLOS-1 will be manufactured in Singapore for commercial and remote sensing operations, mineral exploration, agricultural surveys, climate change and maritime studies. TeLOS-1 will provide satellite images of 1 metre ground sampling distance using its electro-optics camera. Another major satellite, Antrix would be launching will be the German Space Agency (GLR) mission called EnMap next year.
