Dr. Scott founded DigitalGlobe in 1992 as WorldView Imaging Corporation, which was the first company to receive a high-resolution commercial remote sensing license from the US Government (in 1993), under the 1992 Land Remote Sensing Policy Act. WorldView became EarthWatch Incorporated in 1995.

Today, DigitalGlobe operates a 5-satellite imaging constellation with the best revisit and greatest capacity in the industry. Scott’s contribution in the field of GIS has laid the foundation for vibrant and socially relevant geospatial industry offering enhanced earth observation capability in commercial and consumer domain.

His vision towards creating and nurturing WorldView Imaging as the first company to have received high-resolution commercial remote sensing satellite license has brought mark shift in overall drive towards its scalability and commoditization adding larger value and utility to overall space industry. It has encouraged innovation and social relevance by making difference in world economy and society.
