Bowne Management Systems, Inc. (BMS) is pleased to announce that it has been selected by Tioga County Department of Social Services to complete Phase II of the County’s Job Point Program. The Job Point Program is a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) application that provides clients of the NYS Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program with the ability to search for potential employers and get directions from selected bus routes, family day-care providers, and individual residences to selected employers. It also allows Tioga County to identify the need to re-route, or add new bus services to facilitate transportation for TANF clients.

Phase II will be an expansion upon the original Job Point Program application, which was developed and delivered to the County by BMS in 2002. Upon completion of Phase II, users will be able to identify job titles to search (i.e. administrative assistant), as well as expanding the amount of available employer information (i.e. employee qualifications the company is typically looking for). Phase II completion is scheduled for the Fall of 2003.
