The latest release of Wallingford Software’s InfoNet V3.0 solution strengthens its integration with the leading GIS systems to enable users to leverage and add value to their existing investments in asset data. U.K. based Wallingford Software produces software tools for the water industry. Further enhancements in the new version include extended multi-user access, and a greater support for surveys and operational maintenance. InfoNet is a network asset management system purpose designed for users to store, integrate, validate and analyze their network data to provide accurate information and reports, both up-to-date and historical, on hydraulic network infrastructure and performance, presented in easy-to-use formats.
Among many enhancements, the new version offers interaction with GIS layers via SQL/Spatial Query, allowing InfoNet access to all other geo-referenced data within a corporate database, a benefit to all users. It has truly concurrent access to network data. InfoNet now supports both access to and modification of data by all users simultaneously, with handling of contention and conflict reporting. Another enhancement is extended reporting whereby new reports cover defect summaries, sewer reporting, and reports using CH2M HILL SCREAM TM, which evaluates asset conditions and other risk factors to generate a ranking of assets. InfoNet stores extensive data on all assets, including survey data; the latest version includes support for various further survey types, including flow surveys and pipe sampling surveys for water distribution.
