Visual Learning Systems, Inc. (VLS) is teaming up with another US-based LizardTech Inc., software solutions developer that make it significantly easier to manage, distribute and access digital content, to provide discounted software to state and local government agencies.
VLS began its Feature Analyst State and Local Government Grant Program only a few short weeks ago, and dozens of agencies have already applied. Feature Analyst software technology is widely used within the United States Defense and Intelligence Community to extract geospatial features, such as roads, buildings, vegetation, and hydrology from high-resolution panchromatic, color, and multi-spectral imagery.
VLS is one of the major players in feature extraction and image understanding solutions supporting the geospatial industry. On the other hand, LizardTech, a Celartem company, develops software solutions that make it significantly easier to manage, distribute, and access digital content such as aerial photography, satellite imagery and scanned color documents.
