USA: Ventyx, the software, data and advisory services provider to the energy and utility industry, announced a new contract with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in which the company will be the exclusive provider of electric infrastructure data for the agency. The contract marks the fourth year in a row that NGA has chosen Ventyx data.
A Department of Defense combat support agency and a member of the National Intelligence Community, NGA develops imagery and map-based intelligence solutions for U.S. national defense, homeland security and safety of navigation. In addition to supporting combat operations, NGA also supports disaster relief and homeland defense operations by providing GEOINT data, products and analyses to lead federal agencies as well as state and local first responders.
The accuracy of Ventyx’s data, as well as the company’s past performance with NGA, were primary reasons for the agency continuing to work with Ventyx. The Ventyx geospatial team spent considerable time and effort in understanding the agency’s needs, and the company has provided considerable domain expertise to NGA over the years.
