US: US Navy officials will brief the industry next month on a project to develop a Large Displacement Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (LDUUV).

The LDUUV will be a large vessel capable of operating in the open ocean and conducting over-the-horizon sensor missions in coastal waters and harbors to gather intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) information. Officials of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport, in support of the Naval Sea Systems Command, will conduct industry briefings on 16 October.
