Ukraine: The Ukrainian government has approved a development strategy for the space industry by 2032. Under this strategy, UAH 38.5 billion (approximately USD 4.8 billion) funding for the country’s space industry has been granted.
State Space Agency of Ukraine in association with National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine had drafted the strategy. It aims to develop a powerful system for Earth remote sensing satellite, Sich; a national space communications satellite, Lybid; a coordinate-time and navigation support system; and a system to monitor and analyse outer space.
The draft also proposed a plan to conduct space research, international space experiments on the initiative of domestic scientists, and participate in conducting the studies of the Moon using domestic satellites, the agency said.
