UK Land Registry announces Open Data Challenge

Land Registry, the government department for registering the ownership of land and
propertyin England and Wales, has announced “Open Data Challenge” to fund innovative uses of its data.

Land Registry has offered individuals, entrepreneurs and small business the opportunity to compete for three awards of GBP 3,000 ($4,605). Participants will have to develop a creative idea that clearly demonstrates how Land Registry’s public data can make a positive impact on the UK economy. The idea could be a product, service or business improvement. It could be a web or mobile application to benefit society. It could also be an analytical and predictive research. UK residents over the age of 18 and UK-based micro or SME organisations can participate. Registration is open till July 26. Winners will be announced in the month of November.
