Trimble adds tyre monitoring to Connected Site portfolio

SHARE

California: A new tyre monitoring system has been developed to help fleet managers in reducing maintenance costs, increase fleet productivity and promote site safety. The solution wirelessly reports tyre temperature and pressure data to a fleet, asset and site productivity management solution. These timely alerts allow proper scheduling of maintenance, thus increasing fuel efficiency and avoiding mishaps.

The new solution has been developed by Trimble. It is called Trimble TirePulse Tire Monitoring System and is a part of the Trimble Connected Site portfolio. The system uses TP920 Industrial Tire Sensor in the tyre valve stem and a Trimble SNM940 Connected Site Gateway for communications. The data is communicated through Trimble VisionLink. The system allows fleet managers to manage tyre maintenance from their offices.
