US: Topcon Positioning Group has signed a global distribution partnership agreement with MAVinci, Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) provider.
The partnership will make available companies worldwide the fixed-wing UAS series 'Sirius' guided with Topcon GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) positioning and powered by MAVinci technology.
Eduardo Falcon, executive vice president and general manager for the Topcon GeoPositioning Solutions Group, said, “The new system is the first commercially available UAS that can reach an extreme level of accuracy without the need for ground control points." The new UAS will not just provide high-accuracy aerial mapping system besides enormous reduction in operational costs.
Johanna Claussen, CEO, MAVinci said, “The UAS delivers results of two-to-five-centimeter absolute accuracy by using the 100 hertz Topcon GPS module in combination with an advanced integrated camera. The MAVinci autopilot allows for stable and precise navigation even in highly-demanding situations."
