TomTom goes to Hong Kong

Hong Kong: In a quest to expand its worldwide coverage, TomTom has launched its traffic services in Hong Kong. TomTom users in Hong Kong will now get access to congestion forecasting, which indicates whether a jam is growing or dispersing, and estimates how long a delay will last. As the fourth-most densely populated metropolis in the world, Hong Kong regularly witnesses jam lengths of over 35 kilometers. Therefore, TomTom Traffic should come as a relief for many commuters.

Ralf-Peter Schäfer, Head of Traffic at TomTom, “The launch of TomTom Traffic gives drivers, the automotive industry and governments a concrete way to tackle traffic congestion in their market. Our aim is to help drivers get there faster and support governments to better manage traffic flow.”
