Tokyo bans UAVs from being used in public parks

Japan: Japanese officials have revealed that the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has banned people from flying drones in metropolitan parks and gardens. According to Japan Times, violaters could be fined up to 50,000 yen ($420).

The decision follows a recent incident in which a drone carrying a small amount of radioactive cesium was found on the roof of the Prime Minister’s office. The ban will be applied to 81 parks throughout the city.
