Texas, USA, 21 April 2006: Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG), a full-service local government GIS consulting company offering specialized experience in the
planning, design, implementation, and procurement of geo-technologies, announced on April 21 that the Village of Bolingbrook, Illinois has procured additional products from GTG’s LookingGlass GIS software suite. The Village will be implementing eight licenses of LGdispatch.
This application will serve to map all incoming 911 calls to the dispatch center. LGdispatch is a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) mapping interface that provides E-911 dispatchers with an interactive map displaying the location of all emergency calls. LGdispatch offers advanced geo-coding capabilities. Addresses can be validated against address points, polygons (tax parcels) and lines (road network).
As an HTE business partner, GTG provides several LookingGlass (LG) products that provide a GIS interface for many of HTE’s land and public safety modules. The Village’s implementation of this LookingGlass application continues to add to the rapidly expanding number of cities and counties that are utilizing LookingGlass GIS as a distributable and unifying technology.
