The Netherlands opens GeoFort for public

The Netherlands: The Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie, a former military line of defence, transformed into GeoFort. It now open for public. It is an educational attraction, which makes visitors acquainted with cartography and navigation. Willemijn Simon van Leeuwen and Bart van Leeuwen conceptualised the idea and in collaboration with the Netherlands’ Forestry Commisison (Staatsbosbeheer) developed GeoFort. 

Some of the key attractions of GeoFort include:
Intelligent Maze – It is an educational game, which tests players’ navigational skill. Players can find the smartest way through the maze by a scent trail to follow. They can find the way through 6 hubs and earthly elements like earth, water, air and fire.

Bat Research Garden – This is a unique place, where visitors can be acquainted with the art of navigation and life of bats. The Bat Detective Garden is designed for children from 2 to 12 years.

3D Cafe – It offers a surprising menu with regional world! It is wonderful place to enjoy the beautiful terrace overlooking the Betuwe.
