The Netherlands contributes data to Esri services

Redlands, US: The Dutch Kadaster, the organisation in the Netherlands responsible for the registration of real estate and geographic information, contributed data from to Esri’s World Topographic Map. The World Topographic Map, along with other basemaps, is freely available in the online version of ArcGIS, ArcGIS Explorer, ArcGIS for Desktop and ArcGIS for Server.
Organisations around the world supply authoritative content to the World Topographic Map, resulting in a global, highly detailed and cartographically uniform basemap. The Netherlands is the latest country to contribute data to the World Topographic Map, following Spain, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and the UK. The Netherlands contributed datasets from its topographic database, which includes airports, buildings and neighborhoods.
“The Dutch Kadaster data adds significant detail to the World Topographic Map,” said Jack Dangermond, Esri president. “As more governments participate, we continue to build this valuable global cartographic resource.”
