Speaking at the opening plenary session of the Geospatial World Forum 2013 here on Tuesday, Ramon Bartolome Pastor, Vice President and General Manager of HP’s Large Format Printing Business, laid down why the company’s large format are critical for GIS workflows. HP is constantly innovating to bridge the paper and digital gap. And since it is a IT solutions company, it understands the workflows and their importance.
The complexity and size of GIS files are huge and there is also an underlying need for contextual environment. Image quality is another key issue and large format prints help in this aspect. Large format prints also enable better decision making, communicate with clarity and improve day to day productivity of GIS executives, he added.
