US: CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk revealed a prototype of Model 3 on Thursday last week. The car prototype doesn’t have a dashboard but a slightly oblong steering wheel and a 15-inch horizontal touchscreen that controls just about everything.
When someone asked Musk on Twitter that "Why did you choose that hideous steering wheel design?" Musk responded: "That's not the real steering system" and the final Model 3 will look like a spaceship.
As far as the question of whether the Model 3 will be a self-driving car, it should be noted that Musk never says "steering wheel," instead he is referring to "a steering system" and "steering controls." However, Tesla's current autopilot mode can already follow speed limit signs, change lanes, avoid collisions, and parallel park, mostly by itself.
As far as price is concerned, we already know that the Model 3 will be priced at $35,000. Musk said, it won't delay the Model 3 rollout there. As for Asia, Musk wrote on Twitter that "Tesla will be in India before 3 production starts."
