He is an eightyear veteran of Cadence Design Systems, where he was a Vice President and General Manager. During his five-year tenure at Approva, he played a critical role in securing more than $35 million in venture investment, led the market strategy that helped the company become an acknowledged industry visionary and grew annual revenue at an average rate of over 100 percent per year. Prior to Approva, Cobb was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Strategic Alliances for enterprise collaboration and knowledge management pioneer Intraspect Software (Vignette) where he helped position the company for rapid growth, then built and led successful global field operations for four years. Rick is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a bachelor of science degree in management engineering.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to join an exciting and innovative market leader like TerraGo, and I look forward to furthering the company’s expansion by fostering new partnerships, increasing our commercial and international presence and spearheading strategic initiatives both internally and externally,” said Cobb. “James Davis has done a tremendous job accelerating revenue and staffing growth, and I am proud to accept the helm from him and lead TerraGo into new echelons of success.”
