Telemorphic, Inc., has been awarded “Best Internet Application” during the 2002 ESRI International User Conference. The Company also received the top honours for “Most Unique” map during the conference’s map gallery, an exposition of over 1,000 of the most effective maps created by GIS and mapping professionals from around the world.

Telemorphic has received the top Internet application honour during the conference’s Software Applications Fair for the David Rumsey Collection GIS Viewer. Built with the Company’s Java-based MaplicityT technology, the Rumsey Collection GIS Viewer adds powerful interactive GIS and image processing/visualization tools, delivered with the Rumsey Collection’s rich historical map content, to an unlimited number of web browser-based users.

The award for “Most Unique” map was received for the Lewis and Clark Expedition 200th Anniversary Mosaic, a stunning 42″x 72″ (1:1,500,000) collage of historical maps and modern geospatial data representing nearly two centuries of cartographic history which encompasses the route of the explorers’ epic journey.
