Boston, USA, August 29, 2007: Tele Atlas, provider of digital maps and dynamic content for navigation and location-based solutions, and Zagat Survey, LLC, the leader in consumer-generated ratings and reviews of restaurants and hotels, announced an agreement to make Zagat Survey ratings and reviews available for Tele Atlas digital map users.

“Tele Atlas’ breadth of experience and partnerships in the personal and automotive navigation markets will help us to reach key manufacturers and application developers and the end users who are most interested in our content,” said Nina Zagat, Co-Founder and Co-Chair, Zagat Survey. “Combining Zagat’s trusted, consumer-generated content with Tele Atlas’ digital maps, we are able to expand our abilities to provide consumers with invaluable resources wherever and whenever they need it.”

Through the agreement, Zagat Survey content will be available for application developers and device manufacturers to incorporate into personal and in-car navigation systems powered by Tele Atlas, helping to provide end users with an enhanced, content-rich navigation experience. With branded Zagat ratings and reviews, including content for approximately 35,000 restaurants, hotels and entertainment establishments in North America, consumers using Tele Atlas maps will be able to more easily identify and obtain information on Zagat-rated establishments based on their physical location.

“Consumers increasingly rely on their navigation systems and location-based services to make decisions about where they want to go. With the addition of trusted, branded content from Zagat tied to Tele Atlas maps, they can make informed choices about dining, travel and leisure while on the go,” said Wilson Kerr, Business Development Director, Tele Atlas. “Zagat is a leader in consumer-generated content and we are very excited to deliver to our partners this widely-used content as they work to create location-based applications that enhance consumers’ navigation experience.”
