Gdynia, Poland, November 19, 2007: The latest update of the TatukGIS Internet Server (v. 8.9.7) supports an Adobe Flash control to provide a smooth on-line map scrolling and zooming experience. The Flash control augments previously implemented AJAX features compatibility based on Microsoft ASP.NET AJAX Framework. The Flash control can be turned on/off individually by each user as the situation requires. A future update will expand the Flash control to also provide smooth remote map editing features.

The TatukGIS Internet Server is a GIS development toolkit, supporting over 2,300 functions and properties, packaged as an ASP.NET server component. The Internet Server supports the same GIS engine and object API as the comprehensive TatukGIS Developer Kernel product. It utilizes the visual design capabilities of any ASP.NET (.Net Framework 2) compatible programming tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 & 2008, Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2005, and CodeGear RAD Studio 2007, and can also be programmed with any standard HTML or text editor.

For non developers with more limited requirements, TatukGIS offers the LITE edition of the GIS Internet Server with a simple API, but also supporting the new Flash client features.
