Tata Consultancy Services, India awarded Asia Partner of the Year 2006 by MapInfo

Singapore, 8 November 2006 – MapInfo Corporation, the provider of location intelligence solutions, has awarded its 2006 MapInfo Asian Partner of the Year award to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India.

With over 78,000 employees and sales of US$2.97 billion in 2005-06, Tata Consultancy Services is one of Asia’s largest technology supplier, providing consulting services in IT and software development, asset based solutions, IT infrastructure, engineering and industrial services, and business process outsourcing services.

The award recognises TCS’s strong commitment to the MapInfo product range, demonstrated through a three-year strategy detailing its areas of focus, priorities for business development, and annualised sales growth of almost 50 percent. MapInfo’s Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Jonathan Wright, said TCS has been an outstanding ambassador for MapInfo throughout the India sub-continent.
