Thomas Heim, Managing Director of SICAD GEOMATICS introduced numerous high-level speakers who covered a broad range of topics, like the strategy for introduction of E-government in Bulgaria presented by Assoc. Prof. Emil Ganchev, chief expert from the Ministry of Finance and the presentation of the SICAD project at Electrical Distribution-Sofia Plc by Eng. Marin Botzov, Head of the GIS Department of the company. Besides other speeches, SICAD GEOMATICS presented the latest SICAD developments – actual GIS applications in cadastral systems, land management, urban planning, e-government, utilities, disaster management and others.

Within the exhibition, live demonstrations of the latest SICAD products, Remote Sensing and Corporate GIS integration, as well as SICAD applications in Romania were presented.

The economical and legal aspects for the introduction of GIS in Bulgaria are very positive. The large infrastructure projects in the field of transport, land ownership, land market, cadastre and property register, will be the main factors for the growth of the GIS market during the next years.
