TAG awarded $22 million contract by US Army Geospatial Center

US: Technology Advancement Group, Inc. (TAG) has been awarded $22.345 million contract by the US Army Geospatial Center (AGC) to provide Precise Position System (PPS) Global Positioning System (GPS-S) System. The system will be used by survey and design teams at AGC to perform precision surveys.

The AGC currently uses AN/GSN-13 GPS Survey system which has become obsolete. The Indefinite Quantity Indefinite Delivery (IDIQ) contract has a one-year base period of performance and four one-year options. TAG will provide PPS GPS-S Systems and programme support, including: systems engineering and software development processes relevant to precise surveying. “The TAG PPS GPS-S System will allow AGC and other military customers to have access to centimeter-level GPS survey accuracy while simultaneously enjoying the benefits of a fully-certified embedded military GPS receiver,” said Jim McEwan, TAG’s CEO.
