US: The IT management arm of Greenwood Village-based Critigen has been bought by Synoptek for an undisclosed sum. After the acquisition, Critigen’s core business becomes geospatial consulting, offering mapping, planning, geospatial data gathering and analysis help to large clients that include government agencies and major corporations.
Critigen Managed Services hosts computer servers for clients, maintains client software systems and provides other services. Synotpek helps clients plan out and manage their on-site and remotely-hosted IT technology.
The acquisition of the Critigen Managed Services division will strengthen Synoptek’s services portfolio and expand Synoptek into the Rocky Mountain region. Combining the two companies will help clients “improve their planning, execution and management of IT systems,” Synoptek said in a statement.
