The Netherlands: A Symposium is being organised in The Netherlands on ‘Land Consolidation and Readjustment for Sustainable Development – Designing Resilient Landscapes and Empowering Communities’. This event is organised to celebrate 100 years of land consolidation in the Netherlands. It will be held in Nov 2016.
The symposium is a joint initiative of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) and the Netherlands Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency (Kadaster). The event will be organised in close co-operation with FAO.
This symposium will address the role of land consolidation and land readjustment in relation to the planning context, current developments, and expected challenges. It will give participants the opportunity to discuss strategies for sustainable development to design resilient landscapes that meet the needs of society. Scientists and practitioners from all over the world working in the field of land consolidation and land readjustment have been invited to attend the event.
