Swiss confederation geoportal qualifies for the best of Swiss Web

Switzerland: The official geoportal of the Swiss Confederation has made it to the Best of Swiss Web 2014. Out of 396 projects submitted for the ‘Best of Swiss Web 2014’, 84 were shortlisted. Around 13 of the shortlisted projects stand a chance to win a master's degree. “Map.geo is one of the last 13 candidates for @bestofswissweb – quite proud,” said Cédric Moullet, Head of FSDI, Web Infrastructure, Federal Office of Topography, on Twitter. Map.geo is an intuitive application for search, display and use of information in geographical Art It allows the interactive display of maps and on-screen data with the help of a professional-standard Web browser. The new version of the map application is part of the award-winning geoportal of the covenant. The award night will take place on April 3, 2014 at the Zurich Kongresshaus.
