UndSTMkC, Swedish Armed Forces Intelligence and Security Centre equips the Anubis system with RaveGeo from Idevio. RaveGeo is a new award-winning compression and streaming technology for digital maps. The software RaveGeo reduces the size of map databases with 90-95% and increases access speed and network performance.

The Anubis system compiles intelligence information and aims to predict the enemy’s movement. The system utilizes large amounts of digital maps and geospatial information. Anubis fuses information from many sources and different kinds of sensors to create a common operative picture to achieve situational awareness.

Anubis is part of the new Swedish Network-Based Defence. In Anubis RaveGeo is used in conjunction with SpatialAce, the mapping engine from Carmenta.

Idevio is a supplier of compression and streaming software for digital maps. Idevio adds high-speed map data access to desktop, web based and wireless applications. Idevio is based in Gothenburg, Sweden and has received numerous awards for the software RaveGeo, such as the European IST-Prize 2003.
