‘Sustain rural environment with geospatial tech’

At a three-day international seminar on technology, energy and sustainable rural environment organised by Banaras Hindu University (BHU)’s geography department, Dr Prithvish Nag, Director, National Atlas and Thematic Mapping Organisation and former surveyor general of India emphasised on the role of geospatial technologies in rural environment.

Presiding over the inaugural function, Dr Nag said that remote sensing and GIS have a bigger role to play for striking a balance between technology and sustainable rural environment in the country.
