Taiwan: SuperGeo Technologies, has been selected for the ‘Asian Geospatial Excellence Award – Transportation Management’ for ‘National Traffic Information System.’ The award ceremony will be held during Asia Geospatial Forum 2011 in Jakarta, Indonesia on October 17, 2011.
National Traffic Information System, the WebGIS-based system developed by SuperGeo Technologies, integrates various kinds of real-time traffic information of each city/county and national freeway, such as speed information, CMS information, CCTV information, road events, etc. The system is authorised by the Institute of Transportation, MOTC, to assist the public in clearly querying real-time traffic information.
As the geospatial technology has shown considerable market potential in Asia Pacific in recent years, Asia Geospatial Forum (former Map Asia) is now recognised as one of the most significant geospatial industry events in this region. This year, Asia Geospatial Forum will provide a platform for the global geo-informatics community to further develop applications to Enterprise GIS, Cloud Computing, Remote Sensing, etc.
SuperGeo team will present the success case story – National Traffic Information System during the award night. In addition, the latest SuperGIS products, including SuperGIS Server 3 Value Edition, SuperPad 3.0a (expected in early October), SuperGIS Mobile for Android, and new features in SuperGIS Desktop 3.1 will be focused. The geospatial applications to various fields, such as agriculture, natural resources, facility management, public health, transportation, tourism, etc. will be demonstrated too.
Also, SuperGeo is going to attend ACRS 2011, one of the most important international conferences on remote sensing and geo-information fields, during October 3-6 in Taipei, Taiwan.
