Taiwan: SuperGeo launched SuperGIS Biodiversity Analyst 3.0. It is one of SuperGIS desktop 3.1 extensions and mainly analyses and explores the richness, diversity and evenness of the distribution of flora and fauna.
The Analyst 3.0 integrates the features of GIS, such as data display, query, analysis, and the features of the richness, diversity, and evenness of the distribution of flora and fauna. Therefore, users can more easily recognise the meanings of the distribution of flora and fauna with the analyst. In addition, Analyst 3.0 contains hundreds of landscape indices; with the analyst, users can know the meanings of each index and display the results in SuperGIS Desktop 3.1.
The newest SuperGIS Biodiversity Analyst 3.0 enhances the user interface and adds a number of landscape indices to provide more complete biodiversity analysis.
Kuwait University selects SuperGIS for community services
Through a press statement, the company also announced that the Centre for Community Services and Continuing Education, Kuwait University, adopted SuperGIS Desktop 3.1. With the help of this system the university will be able to integrate, edit, display and analyse all types of spatial data and enhance the usability of spatial data and sources. SuperGeo local partner, IIES, constantly offered training course to the faculty and students to increase their capability for using GIS software.
