Strengthening national spatial data infrastructure policy

Bangladesh: The Belize Social Investment Fund (BSIF) will implement the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Project (CRIP) for the Government of Bangladesh (GOB) which will help the country in strengthening the resilience of critical infrastructure to natural hazards.

Under this project the BSIF will review existing National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) policy and provide a roadmap for successful and sustainable implementation and governance of NSDI within the GOB with respect to investment programmes identified under CRIP. This is to ensure that the Project is implemented in an environmentally and socially sustainable manner taking in to account natural hazards and risk and in full compliance with Belizes and the World Banks environmental and social policies and regulations. As well, to inform the project preparation process of the potential impacts of different alternatives and relevant mitigation measures.
