SPOT 5 represents a quantum leap in technology, which will drive the ongoing evolution of the SPOT’s global business, and innovations throughout the geospatial information industry. SPOT 5 provides the ability to capture digital imagery of up to 5600 square miles of Earth at resolutions of 2.5m, 5m and 10m; map highly accurate global elevations for 3D visualization; and provide daily coverage of the entire Earth at 1km resolution.
