Space Days Kazakhstan conference ended with the signing of new agreements


Astana, Kazakhstan: The second international seminar “Space Days Kazakhstan” was recently held that concluded with new agreements between Kazakhstan and the CIS countries and Europe in the field of space exploration.The event was organised Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Company “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary”.

The conference saw participation of 300 representatives of the world's largest suppliers of remote sensing data, processing facilities, as well as developers and users of GIS and remote sensing data from France, Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland, Spain, Norway, Russia, USA, India, Korea, Ukraine , Kyrgyzstan, Belarus.

In particular, the seminar Acting President of National Company Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary, Marat Nurguzhin signed an agreement on cooperation in space technology with representatives of nine companies from Russia, France, Canada and Ukraine.

“Particularly important for us is an agreement with the French company Airbus Defence and Space to distribute pictures of our two spacecraft abroad", – said M. Nurguzhin.

As part of the main contract our strategic partner Airbus Defence and Space obliged to provide marketing support for the first two years after the launch of the satellites. And in this agreement will be bring out a concrete program of our joint actions for placing orders on the satellite imagery, not only in our country but also abroad“- he explained.
