Smart City World Congress (SCEWC), the event on cities organized by Fira de Barcelona, has brought together in its ninth edition representatives of more than 700 cities from the five continents, consolidating itself as one of the main platforms for Urban Innovation. The event is being organized from 19th to 21st November in the Gran Via venue, and is being attended by major capital such as Bangkok, Budapest, Dubai, Luxembourg city, Madrid, Montevideo, Moscow, New Delhi, etc. to analyze the best strategies to become better cities for their inhabitants.
The representation of large urban territories also includes the presence of representatives from cities such Los Angeles, Leeds , New York, Ottawa, St. Petersburg, etc.
In Addition, SCEWC will be attended by mayors from cities such as Banjul, Dublin, Fukuoka, Islamabad, Turkey, Makati, Italy, Cape Verde, and Greece.
The director of SCEWC, Ugo Valenti, stated that “welcoming representatives from 700 cities, as well as a significant number of mayors and ministers from different parts of the world, reinforce the role of smart City Expo World Congress as a true platform for urban transformation and knowledge and exchange between cities.
