SICAD integrates ESRI

SICAD fully integrates ESRI’s ArcGIS technology into its SICAD-UT products for utilities. An AED-SICAD delegation of senior level executives, product managers, and developers recently visited the ESRI campus in Redlands, California for further technical meetings and workshops and to formally kick off this demanding project, promoted already since the middle of 2002. The two companies’ development efforts are used not only to integrate the technologies of their current product offerings, but also to create a next generation international GIS utility standard based on ArcGIS technology.

Dr. Thomas Englert, CEO of AED-SICAD comments, “Integration of ESRI based technology in the next generation of our utilities applications represents a significant opportunity for our customers and us that we fully intend to take. The advantages of these solutions are clear: ESRI as the world market leader provides the world-wide latest GIS base technology. Together with our excellent knowledge of the utility industry this provides the best conditions for the success of our future product developments within this key market segment of AED-SICAD.”
