SGI conducts Indo-Myanmar border survey

India: Surveyor General of India (SGI) has recently conducted a survey to settle the existing border dispute at the Manipur sector of the Indo-Myanmar border. The SGI team has inspected border pillars 77 to 79 near Muslim Basti under Moreh Ward No. 5 where the fencing work was yet to be taken up by the Border Task Organisation (BRO). The team is conducting the inspection with the help of satellite imagery. “We will be conducting preliminary survey and the truth will be revealed by the satellite images only,” said KK Das Sarkar, Surveyor Officer.
