Satellites supervise work on water conservation schemes in India

India: The government of the Indian state of Maharashtra is supervising the work progress of the 'Jalyukta Shivar' water conservation scheme with the help of satellites. The Maharashtra Remote Sensing Application Center (MRSAC) is recording the longitude and latitude of each project undertaken in the scheme. The water conservation project aims to rid Maharashtra of drought within a period of five years.
