Sanborn chosen for southern California orthophoto project

Craig McDaniel, vice president of Sanborn, a GIS and photogrammetry industry leader, today announced that Affiliated Computer Services of Riverside, California, selected Sanborn for a digital orthophoto imagery project in Riverside. For the project, which will be completed by the end of 2003, Sanborn will provide new 4-inch pixel resolution color and multiple resolution black-and-white digital orthophoto imagery for the 172 square miles that make up Riverside. Sanborn will also update and provide new planimetric features for the city’s existing database. Riverside will use the data to define areas of growth for planning purposes.
