SAIC to strengthen EPA’s information office

US: Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) has been awarded a task order by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to provide technical services and information technology (IT) support to the EPA’s Office of Environmental Information (OEI). It is a five-year contract that could be worth more than USD 26 million if all options are exercised.

Work will be performed primarily in the National Capital Region of the US. The task order was awarded under EPA’s Software Engineering and Specialised Scientific Support (SES3) Blanket Purchase Agreement.
Under the contract, SAIC will support the development, operations and maintenance of EPA software, data delivery, and related components. These services will help the agency enhance information sharing between its headquarters, regional organisations and supporting entities. SAIC will also provide database management and support and design and development services for GIS components and interface/access systems, such as My Environment, a web-based application providing meaningful environmental information to the public in a single search.
