S Korea trains international group of aviation officials

South Korea: Eighteen officials from Indonesia, Jordan and 16 other countries congregated at the Civil Aviation Training Center in Cheongwon, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea. They will be trained there in using GPS and Galileo systems, according to the South Korea’s the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs.
The officials will also get a chance to have a glimpse of other GPS-related technologies such as the ground based augmentation system (GBAS) and VHF Omni-directional Range (VOR). The training commenced on July 18 and will over on August 5, 2011.
