India: India and Russia are boosting their partnership in the area of IT software and hardware solutions, and it is expected to go beyond traditional domains and can support India’s smart cities and infrastructure programs.
This was agreed after Russia’s Russoft Association of Software entered into a formal partnership with its Indian counterpart, Nasscom last month, reported The Economic Times.
These areas of collaboration would include smart cities and mega infrastructure initiatives. Russoft includes Russian specialised firms Bee Pitron who are ready to assist India’s smart city programs.
Indian companies with expertise and skills in project management could join hands with Russian companies that are good at developing customized technology solutions, Makarov said.
Russia’s software exports stand at $7.5 billion a year. Russia is known to have a range of modern IT-related technologies that are available only with the US and China and would benefit India.
