Russia to Help Cuba in Space

Russia – Head of Federal Space Agency recently announced Russia’s eagerness to help establishing Cuba’s own space centre and to share Russian space technologies with Latin America.

Russian space authorities discussed possible cooperation with their Cuban colleagues. Among other topics of future collaboration scientists touched launch of joint space ships for Earth’s remote sensing and opening the Centre on processing remote sensing data at Cuba, as well as shared use of telecommunication systems.

In Venezuela Russian space authorities talked about shared use of global navigation system GLONASS and cooperation in peaceful uses of outer space.
