India – Rolta is said to be in last stage of acquiring a US-based IT firm in the area of business intelligence, reports Economic Times.
The mid-size technology services and IT engineering firm is looking for an asset that will add to its skills on the IT side and complement its core strengths in geographic information systems (GIS) and engineering.
Rolta`s primary strengths are in GIS and engineering, and GIS-related work which accounts for around 50% to its revenue. IT services contribute only about 18% of its revenues.
Shares of the company declined Rs 4.85, or 1.59%, to end at Rs 299.4. The total volume of shares traded was 187,354 at the BSE. (Friday)
