US: The Richmond International Airport (RIC) a joint civil-military public airport, in Sandston, Virginia, has contracted Timmons Group to design and implement an Enterprise GIS.

Timmons Group plans to provide support services which include a GIS strategic plan (RoadMap), Esri aviation data model configuration and implementation, data collection and quality assurance (geodetics, LiDAR, etc.), Esri aviation extension implementation like utility models, pavement engineering, etc.) work process engineering, system implementation, and on-going data maintenance support and GIS analysis assistance. “We are excited to be working with the Richmond International Airport to provide a system which will greatly improve their joint commercial-military operations and ability to fulfill the FAA certification requirements in parallel. The magnitude of their daily operations makes an enterprise GIS a perfect solution for their future needs,” said Russell Minich, Principal at Timmons Group.
